The Story — Tapitallee, NSW

This isthe work.

One hundred and twenty acres. Black Angus. Free-range hens. Bees. A working farm in the Shoalhaven hinterland.

Tapitallee NSW · Est. 2026

Sheepdog Co. is a working farm. Not a brand exercise. Not a weekend hobby. A lease on 120 acres in the Shoalhaven hinterland, and the work that comes with it.

The Johnston family runs it. Black Angus cattle on grass. Thirty-one free-range hens that lay every day. Beehives. Early starts. Weather that does what it wants.

What we run

We keep it simple. We do a few things and we do them properly.

  • Black Angus cattle, raised on pasture. No shortcuts.
  • Thirty-one free-range hens. Real eggs, collected daily.
  • Beehives working the paddocks and the treeline.

Why

Because good food comes from good ground and honest work. Not from a supermarket shelf. Not from a story on a label. From cattle that graze, hens that roam, and someone who turns up every morning to do the job.

Do the work. The rest follows.

Where

Tapitallee sits in the green folds behind Nowra, in the Shoalhaven. It is cattle country — creeks, ridgelines, and grass. This is where Sheepdog Co. is based, and where everything we produce comes from.

What's next

The Sheepdog Crate is coming — grass-fed Angus beef, boxed and sent monthly. Not yet. When it's ready, it's ready. Until then: the work.
